It may come as a shock, but the hugely successful YouTube personality Casey Neistat has announced he's quitting daily vlogging.
He announced the news on his YouTube channel yesterday saying, 'This experiment...it's over'. He featured the news alongside some of his daily vlogs from the past 18 months and explained why he made the decision to dis-continue daily vlogging.
He started by saying. 'When I think back to why I started this vlog...I would challenge myself creatively in a way I'd never done before. This vlog, I feel like, turned into the one thing I didn't want it to be when I started...the creative challenge faded away.'
This will be a big blow to fans from all around the globe. According to SocialBlade, Casey has over 5 million subscribers, 731 videos and over 1 billion views across his entire channel. His huge success came when he made the conscious decision to start uploading daily, gaining over five million subscribers.
Caseys video's are extremely varied and feature his daily life, red carpet events, exotic holidays and sponsored 360 degree video extravaganzas. He is widely regarded as one of the most successful YouTube creators on the platform, and has a very broad fan base. Hundreds of his video's have gone viral and he seemed to have been going from strength to strength.
Casey highlights near the end of the video that 'I'm not giving up on YouTube at all. I will be uploading regularly and will continue to pump out videos, but different kind of videos.'
