Major Film Studios Are Suing 1.3 Million Irish People Who Illegally Download

Ever been on a site like Shpirate Shbay and downloaded a sneaky film or 50? Well, sorry to say lads but you've been busted and are about to get a one-way ticket to prison. Just kidding but seriously: six major film studios are suing Irish ISPs who let 1.3 million people illegally download movies and TV shows. Shit.

If you think this doesn't apply to you, you might be wrong, because Twentieth Century Fox, Warner Bros., Paramount, Disney, Universal Studios, Sony Pictures and Columbia Pictures are suing nine ISPs in Ireland and there's a high chance you're one of the customers of Eircom, Sky, Vodafone, Virgin Media, Three, Digiweb, Imagine Telecommunications or Magnet Networks.

The proceedings are so serious that they've been fast-tracked by the Commercial Court, reports Independent.ie and the studios want the Irish internet providers to block or disable access to movie4k.to, primewire.ag and onwatchseries.to

So kids, don't try and illegally download stuff because you could end up having to go to court, or worse, having your internet cut off.
