Get Your Brollies Out Because Irish Summer Is Officially Over

Met Éireann has issued the forecast for the coming week and it’s not looking good.

After living in dry heat for over two weeks, getting used to the new climate Ireland has adopted, it looks like this is the week that rain will fall.

Some people might be thankful for this, but most of us are still acting as if we’re on our holidays. Who knows when the next time Irish weather will bless us like this??

Here’s an overview of the week ahead.

Starting with tomorrow (Tuesday), the weather is meant to stay nice and warm but slightly overcast.

Wednesday is when it will start to go down-hill, with rain along the west coast that will slowly make its way over to the east in the evening, and early Thursday afternoon. It will remain heavy in the North from Wednesday night to Thursday.

Thursday and Friday are looking quite nice still, but the forecast for the weekend is rain and ‘unsettled conditions’.

Of course, as the end of the Leaving Cert is so close, the weather takes a turn.

Soak up the sun while you still can!
