Welcome to the 21st Century Where Drive-Thru Mass Is Now A Thing

Welcome to the 21st Century Where Drive-Thru Mass Is Now A Thing

Do you hate sitting in a cold damp mass listening to the Priest drone on about a prayer that nobody knows any more or a sin that you do on the regular? Of course you don't want to be there but for whatever personal obligation you have to go. If you can't handle it any more I suggest contacting your local parish and get them to follow what they're doing in Galway. The Glenamaddy Church in Co. Galway is hosting a drive-thru service and is fast tracking Christian traditions into the 21st century - Thank Jeebus. The first of its kind for Irish church services. The Farmers Journal is calling it "God on the go".

The pastoral council decided that the fast-paced lives of local parishioners means they might miss mass out on Ash Wednesday (1 March). The church is offering anyone who needs a quick fix of ash blessing to drive-thru the Glenamaddy Church between 8am and 9.30 am.

You simply drive through one entrance, get your blessing from the Priest and drive out the exit. No fuss or messing. You'll have time to pick up an aul Maccy D's  or Supermacs afterwards. Oh Ireland!
