Sometimes you can go about your day unfazed and without controversy. Then you have those days where controversy just manages to find the world through a simple Google search. Anyone who is Irish knows how insulting it is to ever be compared to or mistaken for the country across the water.
We all know one person from that big country out West who has asked you the dreaded question: "Ireland is part of the UK right?". We didn't think Google, our resourceful 21st-century beacon of knowledge, would have such a similar issue.
One Reddit user drew our attention to the problem when a simple Google search term resulted in the following:
Although the description given describes the Irish flag it's the British flag that is shown. The Reddit user asked whether or not they should be annoyed after they included the link to the post. One user wrote how the act was "careless" and, quite frankly, we have to agree.
Another user mentioned that the Wikipedia page can be edited but on further investigation, we discovered that it's not, in fact, a badly edited Wikipedia page.

Google we're handing this over to you to fix before it becomes an even bigger problem. Imagine the confusion world wide? We already have enough problems with the Irish flag being regarded as the Ivory Coast or Italian flag. We can't be having that now thrown on top of us.
