Hello latest Facebook update! Nice to meet you? NOT! The latest FB updates are targeted at the videos that appear on your newsfeed- you know the ones. The big four updates are:
- Bringing sound to videos in newsfeed
- Vertical video
- Watch and stroll
- Facebook video app for TV
Sounds mighty fine at first. What's the problem I hear you say? First things first - the videos, yes videos, will play on your newsfeed as you scroll - with sound - unless you disable the feature. Let those cringeworthy moments ensue. Nobody needs to hear those videos dubbed with constant moaning at 8am or those people who just can't sing or the constant stream of dogs making sounds that somehow resemble "hello". I mean it's funny when it's someone else but carrying that thought around all day is super stressful. Be weary - very weary. Break your phone in proximity to elderly relatives to avoid any red face.
So now you're worrying about the sound but obviously don't fret - it's just the beginning - that video IS gonna blow up on your screen. Handy right? If that's not big enough it you could just link it to your tv?! AWESOME!
On top of everything else when you scroll down your newsfeed you will have the privilege of enjoying hundreds of images and sounds all at the same time!

The new update offers you the chance to keep your place amongst the chaos. So when you throw your phone into the abyss you can find your place again. How kind and thoughtful.
We don't know when Facebook will be rolling out these new updates but if you love a sneaky look through Facebook during that lecture or bus journey: BEWARE. If you can't handle the stress make sure your devices are on silent or change your settings asap. Sorry Facebook but this all seems a little pointless and stressful. Thumbs down for this update.
