We finally got the news we've been waiting - the Irish government has given the green light for clothing shops to re-open from the start of next week. Which means Penney's will be back in our lives.
Now the news comes with a caveat: shopping centres cannot re-open. But stores like Zara, H&M and Penney's have been given the all-clear and will be able to be back open from Monday provided they have street access.
NEW: This includes allowing larger retailers to open from next Monday, instead of having to wait until Phase 3 - but only if they have public street level exit/entry, not if they’re within an indoor shopping centre https://t.co/D7gasgSEVF

NB: we are still awaiting confirmation from Penney's that they will actually open. But they are legally allowed to.

There will be of course be tonnes of queueing but it'll be worth it...because it's Penney's!
UPDATE: Penneys have released a statement saying they will not be opening on Monday despite being legally allowed to. They said they will be revealing their open date in the near future.
