UCD Lead The Way, As Number Of Irish Students Dating Sugar Daddies Rockets

Sugar daddy dating has rocketed in the past four years, with 10,000 Irish students currently members of the US dating service.

Since 2013, the number of Irish students using SeekingArrangement.com which offers financial stability for young women in return for dates with sugar daddies, has seemingly doubled.

UCD tops the list of students who are 'sugar babies' with 601 members, followed by Trinity and DIT.

The controversial dating service has recently been the subject of an RTÉ documentary, which saw Vogue Williams interview sugar babies and a sugar baby coach. Williams was left visibly upset when she interviewed a 19-year old virgin and sugar baby.

According to reports in The Mirror, spokeswoman Alexis Germany said: 'We are not surprised by the increase in student sugar babies. Sugar dating is a way for students to get what they need for school without dedicating precious study hours to low-paying part-time jobs.'

It is not certain how many students are actively using the service. In 2013, 4,464 students were on the SeekingArrangement books.
