This week has been unprecedentedly mild for November, but temperatures are set to drop from today on with winter-y showers expected to hit.
According to Met Eireann, it is set to get progressively colder by the weekend with, 'A cold and blustery weekend with some sunny intervals and a scattering of showers also.'
Here is a day by day breakdown of what's ahead:
Wednesday:
Tonight scattered showers will continue and merge into longer spells of rain towards morning. West to southwest winds will be moderate to fresh but remain strong along coasts. Lowest temperatures will fall to around 2 to 6 degrees.

Thursday:
Cold with clear spells; scattered rain, hail or sleet showers also. Lowest air temperatures generally zero to 3 degrees with a sharp ground frost.
Friday:
Generally dry with sunny spells but some heavy wintry showers will occur over parts of the west and northwest. Quite cold with highest temperatures only 4 to 7 degrees in fresh and blustery west to northwest winds. Clear spells Friday night and cold with air temperatures falling to between -1 and +2 degrees with frost.
Weekend:
A cold and blustery weekend with some sunny intervals and a scattering of showers also.
Good sunny spells Saturday morning but some heavy rain or hail showers also in parts of the west and north.
