It's the question on everyone's lips; when do the clocks go forward 2017? Since the weather has been awfully lovely lately and there's been a grand old stretch in the evenings it can mean only one thing – spring is here. One of the advantages (or disadvantages if you love your sleep) is the clocks go forward, which means more daylight in the evenings.
In Ireland, the clocks will be skipping ahead an hour on Sunday 26 March at 1am. This means that on Sunday morning you will lose out on an hour sleep but gain an hour of sun (hopefully) that evening. The original reason for Ireland doing this was to save on coal and fuel back in the day.
The time change was continued so Irish and British people could have more daylight hours after the work day. So, get outside and move your butt because that grand stretch is only going to get better.
