Anyone Who's Been To Thailand Will Love Electric Picnic's Latest Addition

Every Irish person who's been to a Full Moon Party in Thailand inevitably comes home raving about their experience, which presumably also involved a lot of raving. Though I'm sure at some point, whilst neck-deep in the beachy hedonism of one of the Full Moon Parties, they will have thought “This is great and all, but what'd really take it up a level is if this wasn't actually taking place in Thailand, but on an artificial beach created in a field in Laois.”

Well, Electric Picnic have got you covered! They've announced a very exciting new addition to their festival line-up. Partnering with Just Eat, they are trying to replicate the experience of a Full Moon Party in the humble hills of Stradbally.

They are reportedly importing over 200 tonnes of sand and some palm trees to recreate that Thai beach feel. Unconfirmed reports suggest that they flirted with the idea of also trying to import some of the weather from Thailand given that it'll probably be vaguely grotty at Electric Picnic, however this idea was naturally shot down as being mental.

The experience will be further enhanced by large screens and speakers set up in the Just Eat Retreat Full Moon Party site channelling in the sights and sounds of the ocean. While there, festival goers can relax with Full Moon Cocktails and special SABA Thai Spice Bags. All the food and drink will be catered by the team of Just Eat Waiters- who are presumably almost indistinguishable from a bog-standard, run-of-the-mill waiter.
