Stumped for ideas on what to do on Saturday? It's not too late if you haven't got a clue or you haven't got the cash. Here's some cheap ideas that'll ensure you have the best New Year's Eve ever and say goodbye to this crazy year with a bang no matter where you are in Ireland:

1. Take the DART to Howth and look at the stars.

2. Climb Bray Head.

3. Take a stroll along the Grand Canal.

4. Explore Phoenix Park and feed the deer

5. Go ice-skating and one of the many rinks around Dublin.
