Nickelodeon classic Are You Afraid Of The Dark? is getting a film reboot with IT screenwriter Gary Dauberman attached to pen the script and Paramount pictures on board as producers.

Are You Afraid of the Dark? was a Canadian horror fantasy-themed anthology television series that ran over seven seasons and 91 episodes. The show had some big names in it's cast such as Ryan Gosling, Melissa Joan Hart, Elisha Cuthbert and Jay Baruchel.

The show was based around the 'Midnight Society' a group of teenagers that would sit around a campfire and tell scary stories which were then depicted by the program.
