Kesha Releases Trailer For Her Documentary And It Looks Incredible

Kesha's return to the world of pop music was long overdue. After a lengthy and public battle with Dr. Luke over claims of physical, sexual and emotional abuse which stalled her music career for five years, the 'Pray' singer released her latest album 'Rainbow' to critical acclaim.

While Lady Gaga's documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two gave us a rare insight into the world of one of the most famous people in the world, Kesha's story is one of struggle to rise back to the surface. At one time, Kesha's 'Tik Tok' was the best selling digital song in the history of music, selling over 16 million copies. During her court case, Kesha only released one single under the management of Dr. Luke.

Entitled 'Rainbow - The Film', the documentary will artistically track Kesha's release of Rainbow, an album six years in the making, discuss her being back in the spotlight during her court case and, most importantly, her journey learning to let go.

In a statement to Rolling Stones magazine, the songwriter spoke of why the documentary and album meant the world to her:

I hope this film inspires others to never give up even if you feel full of hurt or lost, because after the storm comes a rainbow. Depression, anxiety and mental illness are things we all need to talk about more, and there is no shame in asking for help. Making the decision to work on yourself is the bravest thing you can do. I hope this film helps bring light and love to everyone.”Making Rainbow the album was such a therapeutic process and given the opportunity to turn it into a three-dimensional piece of art has helped me find even deeper healing and catharsis.

With the Me Too movement beginning to form after Kesha's lengthy court battle, you can expect this to be an emotional and empowering piece of film:
