As my parents always say of my journey through life in comparison to my older brother, "It can be difficult trying to emulate the success of a popular and beloved predecessor." Well, I feel confident in saying that Sabrina has succeeded where I very much have failed.
Sabrina: The Teenage Witch was one of the most beloved children's shows of the '90s and as such, the announcement that Netflix were creating a new Sabrina show provoked excitement and trepidation among fans of the original. Faith in the show was strengthened though when it was revealed that it was to be based on the popular 'Chilling Adventures of Sabrina', created by Archie Comics.
The first season, when it was released on October 26, 2018, was wildly successful and more than validated Netflix's initial decision to order 20 episodes of the show to be split across two seasons. With a Christmas special having just been released and the promise of the second season arriving on April 5, 2019 Netflix have announced that they've ordered 16 more episodes - to comprise a third and fourth season.

There is no stated release date for these but one imagines that the third season will air sometime later this year or in early 2020.
