Beloved Irish Music Venue To Close Its Doors This Month

One of Dublin's most popular fringe music venues is set to house its final performance later this month.

The Wright Venue, which has played host to such illuminating lights in music as 2008's Basshunter - who played there in 2016, announced that it would close its doors for the final time on January 14th.

When the staff of The Wright Venue were informed of this, the venue's management expressed their intent to offer as many of the staff as possible alternative employment in another venue they owned.

The Swords club joins a long list of Dublin clubs to have announced their closures recently, with Camden Street's Palace and Lillie Bordello's having announced their closures recently.

It appears that the last scheduled event nights to be held at the venue will be on Saturday January 12, which will feature their regular Zavedenie - Russian Disco night and A.R.T Saturdays.
