The 16 Best Party Beaches In The World

Every summer our newsfeeds are flooded with pictures of our friends having a great time on a beach in some exotic country that you can only dream about going to. Here is a definitive list of all of the beaches that you should be dreaming about, and saving up to one day go to.

Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

It is rumoured that every single Brazilian not in the stadium has watched every one of their World Cup games on this beach. That's probably not true, but the football has definitely highlighted how good the parties are on one of the most famous beaches in the world.

South Beach, Miami, Florida, USA

If Will Smith once wrote a song about it, then it's definitely  somewhere worth going.

Haad Rin Beach, Koh Phangan, Thailand

Famous for the monthly Full Moon Party, and that's all that really needs to be said.

Huntington Beach, California, USA

A favourite among J1 students. Known as Surf City, the world surfing championships are held here every year.

Cancún, Mexico

The best time of the year to go to Cancún is definitely for Spring Break, when I'm pretty sure it's against the law to be sober.

Cala Jondal Beach, Ibiza, Spain

With so many clubs in the area now organising parties during the day and night, you could literally party for 24 hours straight if you had the money and the liver capable of handling it.

White Beach, Boracay, Philippines

One of the more chilled out beaches on the list, but there's still plenty of places to go and make a fool of yourself.

Nissi Beach, Ayia Napa, Cyprus

Then night life in Ayia Napa doesn't really get going until around midnight. A good sign of somewhere that takes it partying very seriously. There's also parties during the day, for those that can't wait that long.

Lake Tahoe, California/Nevada, USA

Another favourite among people on a J1 visa, and the only beach on the list that's not by the sea. And yes I had to Google the definition of a beach to see if they can be on lakes as well. Turns out they can. I lead such an exciting life.

Kuta Beach, Bali, Indonesia

The only expensive thing about a trip to here is the travel. After that, you can do everything on the cheap.

Zrće Beach, Novalja, Croatia

There are 3 big clubs in the area, and they're open 24/7. Exactly what you want to hear.

Palolem Beach, Goa, India

Apprently there's a noise ban in the area after 10pm, which isn't ideal for a party destination. But, with headphone parties like Silent Noise on, it gets around the problem nicely.

Paradise Beach, Mykonos Island, Greece

Apparently this used to be one of the top gay destinations in Europe, and judging by the Pride Parade every year, they definitely know how to party.

Split, Croatia

Home to the Ultra, one of the biggest music festivals in Europe. And just to give you an idea of how big it is, David Guetta, Hardwell, Tiesto, Disclosure, and way too many more big acts to mention, are all playing at it. And tickets are only €129.

Benicassim, Spain

Described as Glastonbury on the beach, it caters to a slightly different musical taste than Ultra, with head-liners this year including Kasabian, The Libertines and Paolo Nutini.

Bundoran, Co. Donegal, Ireland

Ok this is a little bit tongue-in-cheek, but the Sea Sessions Music Festival is growing every year, so you could do worse things then head to Donegal for a weekend. The Strypes, The Dandy Warhols and Kelis were the main acts this year.
