Get Inspired - The Yellow Wood Series - Oct 29th @ The Sugar Club

This October 29th The Sugar Club Dublin will play host to the first in a brand new creative talk series; The Yellow Wood Series. These quarterly events will see some of the best in Irish and international creative talent lead innovative discussions, recounting the “how” and the “why” that got them to where they are today.

The Yellow Wood Series was started in 2013 by two friends, Steve Rock and Kevin Ryan.
Steve is a Dublin native who recently returned to Ireland having emigrated to New York in 2010. Working in the Silicon Alley startup tech scene, Steve met people that punched way above their weight, only because they believed they could. Inspired by this “fuck you, I can and I will” attitude, Steve returned with a mission to incite more of that sort of fearlessness back home.
Speaking about the series, Rock said:

“The inspiration for the series came from a belief that Ireland’s creative and cultural revolution is only just beginning. This talk series is about putting fuel on the fire.” -SR

Kevin is also from Dublin, working as a solicitor in the city for the past three years. Over a few pints one night, Steve shared his vision for The Yellow Wood Series and Kev was hooked.

October 29th’s event will will present an intimate behind-the-scenes glimpse into the lives of some great creative people who are doing what they love and killing it. The event will endeavour to look beyond the superficial and invite speakers to explore the “how” and the “why" that shaped their journey, unveiling the highs, the lows, and the breaks that made all the difference.
