We have a fraught history with the potato - the famine anyone? The potato life isn't an easy one but someones gotta live it. They've come in handy over the years though and who knew these small balls could be an ally for mankind? Here are some tips for potatoes that are only known in Ireland.

An old wives tale from my childhood proclaimed that if you took a spud and cut it in half you can cure those warts on your hand! Rub the inside of the potato onto your wart but remember to bury it! It sounds strange but it worked for me!
2). Puffy eyes
If you wake up looking like you've done a few rounds with Muhammad Ali have no fear. Simply slice up some potato into thin round slices, rest the slices on your eyes and relax for ten minutes.
3). Removing Rust

4). Broken light bulb
Have you ever had that feeling that a lightbulb could blow up or break in your hand? When it happens you're left standing there staring at a broken lightbulb stuck in your light socket questioning your existence. If this is you then have no fear! Cut a round thick piece of potato and use the flat part of the potato and stick it into the broken glass. Use the potato as a handle! See. We got you covered ;)
5). Bee Stings (lil shits)
Bee stings are the worst. Waking up at 6am with a wasp jamming its razor sharp sting into your back is not anyone's idea of fun (FYI it was hiding in the mattress). Potatoes could be your only friend during this intensely stressful period. Cut up a potato into quarters and apply it to the bite to get instant relief. Boom. Fuck you bees. We need you but we don't want you!
