Dublin, Ireland’s capital, home of Guinness, Bernard Brogan’s right foot and of course some amazing restaurants. Now eating out can sometimes prove to be expensive, but fear not because I have found 10 Dublin student meal deals for only a fraction of the price.
1. Burritos and Blues
Mexican food is nothing short of the God’s gift to humanity, so if you’re looking for an inexpensive and tasty meal that offers it all, why not try Burritos & Blues. With two locations in Wexford St and at the IFSC, there’s no excuse not to make a trip down. Prices range from €6.50 to €7.00 and on

2. Wallace’s Taverna
Italian food never ceases to disappoint me and neither does Wallace’s Taverna. Located in, Wallace’s offers at starter and main course from only €9.90! You can choose from bruschetta to a buffalo mozzarella salad for starters to a pizza diavola to a Rocket Ravioli for main course. With such reasonable price and a wide range of options, there’s no mistake that Wallace’s is a must visit.
3. Mexico to Rome
Now I know I have talked about Mexican restaurant and an Italian restaurant but what about a restaurant that does both? Well look no further than Mexico to Rome in Temple Bar. This restaurant offers a starter, main course plus a glass of house wine or soft drink all for the unbelievable price of €9.95.
4. Captain America’s
Captain America’s is great place to hit when you’re on a budget! It offers a lunch menu for €9.95 which includes some of fantastic dishes and a complementary drink. So if you fancy a Cajun Chicken Burger, Chicken and Cheese Enchiladas or a Veggie Burger head over to Grafton St where you’ll find Captain America’s. They also offer 2 for 1 on any main course for students as well as €3 on selected cocktails and €3.50 on selected pints Monday - Wednesday. What more could you ask for?
5. Mongolian BBQ
If you’re looking for something different but a cheap price, look no further than Mongolian BBQ. This restaurant offers a buffet meal for only €6.90. You can choose from a variety of fresh meats, vegetables along with a wide range of herbs and spices and sauces! Food that is freshly cooked in front of you and tastes delicious. So if you are looking for an alternative lunchtime, then head down to Mongolian BBQ.
If you’re looking for a healthier lunch option, then I would highly recommend Camile. They offer a student lunch time meal for only €7. Camille is a tasty and healthy alternative that will leave your stomach feeling full and satisfied.
7. Gourmet Burger Kitchen
Nothing beats a good burger, so why not try Gourmet Burger Kitchen in Temple Bar? Gourmet Burger offers a starter and a burger from only €9.95. You can choose from garlic mushrooms or chicken wings for starter to a GBK Veggie burger or a Classic Burger.
8. Stir Crazy
If you fancy some noodles and a low price, then try Stir Crazy. Stir Crazy has a wide range of noodles to choose. You can then add various meats and vegetables to boost the flavour of your meal. I know I have talked about a lot of places that offer beef and chicken but now it's time to give a shout out for all the vegetarians and vegans. Blazing Salads offers a wide range of hot food, salads and cakes that meet all of your vegetarian and vegan needs. The hot food is a self-service and changes every three day. Even if you aren’t a vegetarian or vegan, Blazing Salads is a great place to check out, especially if you are on a health kick.
10. Jimmy Chungs
The final restaurant I’m going to talk about is Jimmy Chungs. This is an all-day Chinese buffet for only.. €8.90. This restaurant is the perfect solution to a hangover or even just a tasty meal. There is so much to choose from that you are completely spoilt for choice!
