Here's What The KFC Spice Box Is Actually Like

Today we had the privilege, nay the honour, of trying the KFC Spice Box. A twist on the trad spice bag, it's basically a classier version that we discovered isn't as spicy, but may actually be better than the original - shock and horror.

We went down to KFC Westmoreland Street in Dublin's inner city and had to take a quick moment to praise the image of the Spice Box.

It was a sight (and smell) to behold. We approached the counter and asked for the finest of Colonel Sanders' spices in a box and they delivered... oh yes, they delivered.

We lifted up the lid to reveal the contents. KFC lied to us: it's more like a Spice Feast rather than a box, but I digress. Honestly we couldn't believe it was just 6 quid for a mini fillet, Popcorn Chicken, two Hot Wings, two Crispy Onions Rings, a Large Fries and the Colonel's Curry Sauce. I've paid 6 quid for a spice bag before and it was a measly small portion of floppy chips and some fried onions.

Despite being lovers of a good ol' fashioned spice bag after dark, us College Timers were pretty happy with the Spice Box because it wasn't super spicy and the chicken actually tasted quality unlike some establishments out there (you know who you are!). We also wanted to give a shoutout to the little wipes you get in the box because letsbehonest, we devoured the box fairly quickly.

All in all, a good alternative if you love the Colonel + you love good chicken + you adore curry sauce.

Not seen: College Times peeps going back for seconds.

The Spice Box is available in KFC restaurants across Ireland, and you can check out your local here.
