Good news for shoppers! Kildare Village will be getting a massive extension - the €50m expansion includes the addition of 29 new stores, two new restaurants and 460 parking spaces.
Kildare County Council has given the go ahead for the new extension - when completed, fans of the designer village will have their pick of 120 outlets. The retail village has a string of outlets including DKNY, Ted Baker and Pandora.
Not only is the expansion news welcome among shoppers - it will also create hundreds of jobs in retail and construction.
Value Retail Dublin Ltd submitted plans for the extension last May and the Council requested further information, particularly regarding access to the retail outlet from Kildare town centre.
The proposal includes plans to demolish a number of existing shops to make room for the new shops and a two-story car park.

And just an FYI, if you want to start exercising your debit card ahead of the new expansion which is expected to happen in the near future, at the time of writing Kildare Village are doing reductions of up to 75% in some of their boutiques!
