A Dublin Suburb Was Voted One Of The Coolest Places In The World By Time Out

Phibsborough has made the list of coolest neighbourhoods in the world and, frankly, we're not surprised.

Time Out Magazine has listed the Dublin suburb as 27th fending off popular destinations like Boston's South End and Seattle's Central District.

Popular restaurants, coffee shops and rich cultural heritage were considered when choosing the reasons for each suburb making the list.

Cafes like Bang Bang and Two Boys Brew are considered some of the best in the region and The Back Page is one of the most famous sports bars in the country.

John Kavanagh's pub, known locally as The Gravediggers, is located right beside the famous Glasnevin Cemetery - a million Dubliners are buried on the grounds.

A stone's throw away is the National Botanic Gardens with the famous Dubliners' ballad "The Auld Triangle" is based on the Royal Canal that flows through the suburb.

Despite this though, the Phibsborough shopping center has been voted as one of the ugliest buildings in Ireland.
