A Dublin college has been ranked among the top 10 most beautiful Universities in Europe by Times Higher Education.
Trinity has been named as the 9th most beautiful on the list by Times Higher Education (THE) which ranks the world's best Universities.
THE describes Trinity College, which is recognised internationally as Ireland's leading university, as "a combination of cobblestone walkways, sweeping emerald-green lawns and 18th-century architectural gems" calling it the "ideal Irish college destination."
The Long Room at the College's Old Library gets a special mention as does Trinity's moments on the big screen with the buildings having featured in a number of a movies.
University of Bologna in Italy came in at first place on the list with THE citing it as "a strong contender as not just one of the most beautiful universities in Europe but perhaps even in the world."
University of Salamanca in Spain took an impressive second place and was noted for its baroque architecture.
