Ryan Tubridy & Sean O' Brien To Have 'Plough Off' On Tonights 'Late Late' cture>

The Late Late Show will have an agricultural theme ahead of the all Ireland ploughing championships later this month. It's being dubbed on RTÉ's website as the 'Late Late Plough Off' and will take place tonight on RTÉ One at the usual time of 9.35pm.

Irish rugby star Sean O'Brien will face off with the Booterstown native Ryan Tubridy in a 'plough off', to see who can turn up the most soil. O'Brien will also be on the couch speaking about his recent tour with the British & Irish Lions. Tubridy will be up against it with Carlow native O'Brien who grew up on a farm although Tubridy does have previous experience operating heavy machinery, having turned sod at last years ploughing championships in Tullamore, Offaly.

Also on the show is National Ploughing Association chief Anna May McHugh who will be in studio to discuss her role in taking the National Ploughing Championships from humble beginnings to one of the biggest agricultural gatherings in Europe. The 2017 championships will take place in Screggan, Tullamore from September 19th to the 21st.

Best selling author Marian Keyes will make an appearance on the show to talk all things writing and her new novel The Break. Keyes, who has sold 35 million copies of her books, will talk about her family surviving tough times.

Comedian Eddie Izzard completes the line-up, he will be in studio talking about his latest role in Victoria and Abdul, in which he plays Queen Victorias son Bertie as well as his time in Co. Down & his ambitions to enter politics at the next UK general election. Music will come from The Stunning and singer and keyboardist Paul Carrack.
