Christmas ads tend to portray a picturesque version of Christmas time.
Ryanair's Christmas ad decided to turn all of that on its head by making this brilliant video. It starts the way most Christmas ads do with the weary traveller returning home for Christmas. His Mammy answers the door and it seems blissful, until he's there longer than 'two minutes'.
The ad then proceeds to highlight the monstrosities that occur being around family for a few days. The ad takes a different look at the festive season and is a breath of fresh air compared to the loved up ads we're used to seeing.
They finish off with the brilliant line, 'because sometimes Christmas escapes are just as important as arrivals.'
