Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder? The Pros and Cons of a Long-Distance College Relationship

It happens. You and your beau are doing so well, so very much in love... then one of you a) studies abroad, b) goes on placement c) transfers college or d) moves back home. You don't want to break up, but you can't stand not being in the same physical space as them. You are separated by time, space and a faulty WiFi connection. Life now sucks, or does it? You know what they say, every silver lined cloud has a dark murky grey centre. Time to embrace all the inevitabilities.

You really do not need to look after yourself. You are neither trying to attract a new suitor nor do you have to look good to impress your suitor. Only look good for yourself. Not that you need to look good to impress!

You have no one to impress because you’re sitting alone in your room reading articles online.

You get all the blankets to yourself and no one can complain about it!
