Can you believe?
What do you get when you mix Ireland's most loved television show of the last ten years with a TV show everyone was obsessed with in the 90s? Absolute joy, that's what.
Today it has been confirmed that the cast of Derry Girls will feature in an episode of The Crystal Maze, the iconic game show that sees groups trying to make their way through a maze to reach the 'Crystal Dome' all the while being guided by new host Richard Ayoade.
In a statement by Channel 4, The Crystal Maze all-new celebrity specials will feature a gaggle of famous faces including Countdown's Rachel Riley, Katie Price, Made In Chelsea's Binky and Alfie Deyes.
Each episode Ayoade will guide troops through the maze as they try to combat the Aztec, Medieval, Futuristic and Industrial Zones and take on all new games in the hope of collecting crystals to secure time in the Crystal Dome.
The series of new episodes will include a Derry Girls special, with cast members Jamie-Lee O'Donnell, Louisa Harland, Nicola Coughlan, Dylan Llewellyn and their team captain Saoirse Monica Jackson upping the 1990s nostalgia.
Tweeting about the episode, Nicola Caughlan, Claire in Derry Girls, warned fans to "to prepare themselves" so we can expect it to be absolutely gas.

We're not gonna lie, part of us would love if the D girls were in character. The original Crystal Maze aired around the same time that Derry Girls is set so it makes perfect sense.
Let's relive some of the classic Crystal Maze moments and collectively pray it's released soon. We can't take the suspense:
The Crystal Maze celebrity specials begin in June on Channel 4 and we can't wait to see which one of the gals end up in the foggy bog.
