23 Things Kids Born After 1999 Will Never Understand

Kids these days have a dandy time of it. They don't know a world where WiFi didn't exist or apps weren't a thing. There are so many things the kids of today will just never understand about the struggles we faced growing up and to be quite frank, I don't think we want them to understand either. This one is for us 90's kids and all of the forgotten Tamagotchis...

1) Having to decide which texts to delete when your storage was full. So many decisions.
2) Buying a new phone only to realise it didn't have Snake on it and feeling crushed.
3) Having a list of Bluetooth names stored on your phone for when your friends are sending you new songs.
4) Blasting DJ Cammy's "Country Roads" remix down the park with the crew.
5) Downloading a song on Limewire and realising there's someone talking over the end it.

6) Seeing yourself in someone's top friends on Bebo even though you're only in one class with them at school, and feeling like the absolute coolest.
7) Finding out the real music chart on a Friday night during Top Of The Pops.
8) Dragging the message around your computer screen when it's frozen to try and cover every single possible inch of space.
9) Being the first in your class to switch from using a pencil to a pen.

10) Tamagotchis had feelings too, ok?
11) Actually owning and using the Yellow Pages book.
12) Playing Pinball on the computer because that was the only game besides Solitaire.
13) The difference between listening to The Backstreet Boys and NSYNC was huge and you knew it.

14) Calling your friend and having to make small talk with their dad until he passed on the phone.

15) Buying at least two disposable cameras every time you went on holidays.
16) Not getting the photos developed and accidentally throwing out the camera.
17) Using your own name and a bunch of numbers to predict your future.
18) Needing a torch to play your Gameboy after it got dark.
19) Renting a video but discovering that the last person didn't rewind it so now you have to, and it takes FOREVER.
20) The excitement of answering the house phone and not knowing who was calling was almost too much to handle.
21) Carrying a Walkman with you every time you wanted to listen to music outside of the house or the car.
22) Gel pens. Just everything about gel pens.
23) The meaning behind "I wanna really really really wanna zig a zig ahh" is so powerful it can never be explained to non-90s kids. They just won't get it.
