9 Reasons Why You Should Date A Bartender

Why are bartenders generally great people to date? For one, they have to deal with some of the worst situations of drunken idiots acting the maggot in their workplace, and also having to deal with it SOBER! Drunk people are usually more bearable by other people when they also have a few drinks on board. Here's the 9 reasons why you should date a bartender!

9. They're not easily fazed.

Working in a place where people go to get drunk, bartenders have seen it all. From the daily drunk, to the arrogant regular customers and the barroom bust-ups, it will be difficult to surprise a bartender.

8. They're not lazy.

Bartenders are naturally hard workers. They work long hours and put up with a lot of nonsense in their job. You can guarantee that you won't be dating a lazy lover!

7. You can drop by their workplace without feeling awkward.

It's totally acceptable to swing by their bar to see them at work without feeling awkward, unlike swinging by your partner's office to "casually" check up on them...

6. Flexible schedules.

They don't have a consistent 9am-5pm job so they're usually free to do things that others are not. They take their job serious, but not TOO serious. Go drinking at 12pm on a Tuesday? Sure why not.

Someone who deals with all the hassle that comes with serving customers alcohol RELISHES the opportunity to sit on the other side of the bar! Ironically they're way of letting off steam is through going out and hitting the bars themselves.

4. Social networks.

They work in a highly social environment and often meet new, exciting and interesting people. Drunk people think everyone is their best friend, especially if that person is serving them beer after beer. Bartenders get invites to some pretty good parties.

3. They're practically therapists.

The bartender has heard more life stories and drunken regrets by their patrons. They have been the target of weeping men and women, severe verbal and sometimes physical abuse, and having to put up with downright imbosils! They're more qualified than most to hear your troubles and offer you worthy advice with the litany of emotional precedent at their disposal over the many years spent behind the bar.

2. Bartenders are charming by nature.

Serving and flirting with customers is natural while working a quiet shift, whether you're doing it for tips or not. A bartender's charm is unmatched - they're sure to reel you in and keep you interested.

1. Free drinks.

A superb plus and an added incentive to dating a bartender. Who can argue against free drinks?
