Gallaher's Bistro is a bit of a hidden gem. Found in College Green, a stones throw from Trinity College and just about everything, it's been our little secret for a while now and we've decided it's time to share. Here are a few things you never knew about Gallaher's Bistro. *Hint: It's BYOB!
1) It's BYOB all day everyday. Yep, you heard us right. We know you appreciate BYOB as much as us...So eat, drink and be merry.
2) On that note, if you happen to run out of wine or beer (shock horror!), there's a fully stocked bar, so you can drink to your heart's content. Cocktails for €7, sure it would be rude not to.
3) It's ridiculously good value. There's a pre-theatre menu that even those of us verging on incredibly broke could afford. €16 for two courses, we'll take that please.

4) Their pudding menu is the thing of dreams. Warm chocolate orange brownie, white chocolate mousse with a raspberry compote, maple walnut ice cream. We're salivating at the mere mention of them.
5) Did we mention the ice cream, cause we'd be remiss to leave that out. It's swiss and gourmet so you are in for a treat my friends.
6) BYOB Brunch. We love a good brunch here at College Times, no matter how basic that makes us. But a BYOB Brunch? Sign us up!
7) Free Wine Wednesdays are your new favourite thing. Buy 2 sumptuous 10oz steaks and a bottle of the house wine is all yours.
8) Gallaher's has been around since 1891, and originally began as a tobacco factory. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
9) It's a hidden gem. Gallaher's is one of those places that you might not know just yet, but once you've been there, you have to drag all of your friends along again and again.
You can book your meal at Gallaher's here. They are open from 10am daily. The pre-theatre menu is €16 for 2 courses or €19 for 3 courses. Available from 4-7pm daily, or until 6pm Friday and Saturday.
