Ooh la la! We're losing the run of ourselves with this afternoon tea business.

There's no denying it has taken off in recent years with more and more people opting to have their chats coupled with tea-time delights. If you enjoy a cup of tae and fancy meeting up with some of your pals, have a look at these spots in Dublin.

Vintage Tea Tours

For tea with a twist, this bus tour will provide you with the ultimate nostalgic experience while you're stuffing your face with delish delicacies. Get all cosy and enjoy all the city sites while listening to some 1950s jazz. Prices are €40-€50pp. For more info, click here.

The Westin 

Renowned for its afternoon tea, this spot offers a few different versions of afternoon tea. For the traditional kind - gourmet sandwiches, scones and delicious desserts which tea and coffee - its €34pp.

We, however, are leaning towards their 'A Most Peculiar Afternoon Tea' cos we're so adventurous an all. The food combinations are a bit different but what's winning it for us is the teapot of Victorian Mojito with Beefeater Gin - €36pp. Check it out here.

The Morrison

If you're going out for afternoon tea, why not do it while you're chilling by the Liffey (not literally, just looking out at it cos', you know, it's so scenic an all). The Shelbourne

This here is for people who really fancy treating themselves. This 5 star hotel are doing a Halloween Afternoon tea at the moment so along with all the staples elements of a usual afternoon tea, you get some cool sweet themed treats.

The dessert menu include barm brack The Pumpkin, a caramelised pumpkin and cinnamon mousse cheesecake macaroon and The Ghost, a profiterole with raspberry lemon mousse. It's €49 for the classic afternoon tea and €64 if you'd prefer Champagne afternoon tea. Have a look here.

The Westbury 

For more 5 star finery, the Westbury on Grafton Street does a very fancy afternoon tea altogether! The traditional menu is €47 and if you fancy stepping it up a notch, the champagne afternoon tea is €59 more. See their menu here.
