Parquet Courts @ Whelans

MCD Presents Parquet Courts, playing Whelans this Monday the 14th of October, after their first Irish performance after Electric Picnic festival this year.

If you haven't heard of them, Parquet Courts are an American punk rock band based in Brooklyn, New York.

Parquet Courts have announced Dublin melodic punk quartet the #1's as special guests for their upcoming show in Whelans on the 14th of October.
Alternative rock band, The Otherkin will also play on the night.

Tuesday 15th

Kate Nash @ Whelans

Singer, songwriter Kate Nash has finally come back into the Limelight after a long, long break. You might know her from her hit record "Foundations" released in 2007, followed by her UK Number 1 album "Made Of Bricks", and shortly after, she was awarded Best Female Artist at the Brit Awards in 2008. Kate recently released her third studio album "Girl Talk", in March 2013.

Wednesday 16th

Jessie J @ The o2

English singer, songwriter and pop artist Jessie J is headling this Wednesday the 16th of October at the o2 Dublin. It seems the pop singer has come a long way since her slightly controversial debut single "Do It Like A Dude", released back in 2011.

AlunaGeorge @ The Academy

Electronic/Pop act AlunaGeorge make their debut performance in Dublin this Wednesday at the Academy. Some might not be aware that these guys are actually a duo, consisting of Aluna Francis and George Reid, as most of the spotlight being placed on Aluna, being on vocals, and George being on production and instrumentation. You might recognise Aluna's voice, when they featured on Disclosure's chart topper "White Noise" earlier this year.

Brucestock 2 @ The Lost Society

Hosts of Bruce Willis are delighted to announce BRUCESTOCK 2 this Wednesday the 16th of October in The Lost Society. They have said the night will be "all about peace, love and a massive festival buzz, with 4 rooms filled with 600 people dancing in harmony".

Friday 18th

Roisín Ó @ Whelans

Roisín Ó headlines Whelans this Friday night, announcing her first big hometown headline show this year, with support from Matt Walters. Roisín is set to have a whole new set to perform, and lots of big announcements to make, after her debut US shows this summer. It's been a big year for Roisín, as she performed alongside the likes of Lisa Hannigan, Bono, Christy Moore and The Script this St. Patrick's day, aswell as supporting The Coronas and Lionel Richie in Belfast and in Dublin. Jack - Gesaffelstein, Japanese Popstars & Jack Mason @ Button Factory

JACK presents this Friday 18th of October, Gesaffelstein and Ireland's own The Japanese Popstars to the Button Factory, with support from Jack Mason.

Frenchman Gesaffelstein released his debut album this year, titled "Alpeh", and anyone attending JACK this Friday, will get to hear a sneak preview of it just before it is released.

Saturday 19th

MGMT - Olympia

MGMT play a sell out headline show this Saturday the 19th of October at the Olympia Theatre, Dublin. After two huge successful albums, you most certainly will recognise many hits by these guys. Whether it's Oracular Spectacular, released in 2007, featuring singles such as Electric Feel and Time To Pretend, or Congratulations, released in 2010, featuring the single of the same name. Having played Electric Picnic, Oxegen, and a number of headline shows in Ireland, MGMT have no doubt secured themselves a huge following here, showing no surprise when they sold out 3 shows in the Olympia Theatre last time they performed in 2010.

The Weeks @ The Academy 2

Following their Irish debut performance at The Grand Social this July, The Weeks have announced their return to these shores with a headline show at The Academy 2, Dublin on Sunday, 20 October 2013.
