Here's The Most Flattering Swimwear For Every Body Type

Just a little disclaimer before we get started, there is no right or wrong body 'type.' All of the 'shapes' we've used here are just a guideline as not every woman fits into a certain category. Every shape is beautiful and this article is just to be used as a rough guideline to make you feel confident when out and about in the sun.

We've broken down the styles into a few categories depending on what you want to cover and accentuate. Instead of focusing on fruit shapes like apples and pears, (eh, hello?) we've decided to map out the right swimwear for any occasion.

At the end of the day, wear whatever you want as long as it makes you feel good. So if you're full-busted, flat-chested, big-bootied or toned as hell – here's how to make yourself feel amazing.

Flat chested

For flat chested hunnies, it's best to get a bikini top that has ruffles or patterns that give the illusion of a fuller chest. Any sort of bikini with padding will also do a great job.

Big boobs

For big boobs what you'll need to look for is support. Look for bikinis or swimsuits with an underwire and thicker bikini top straps.

Flat bum

Just like having a flat chest, ruffles are a flat bum's best friend. Opt for bikini bottoms that show a bit more skin in order to give your booty a fuller look.

Curvy bum

If you've got a lot of junk in the trunk, bikini bottoms with more coverage will do a better job than string bottoms. Look for swimsuits or bikinis with fuller coverage in order to avoid getting a wedgy.

Small torso

With a small torso, you want to aim to lengthen it as much as possible. Low-rise bottoms and halter bikini tops are your best friend.

Athletic build

If you want to create the illusion of curves. Ruffled bikini tops and bright, girly prints will do the job perfectly.

For shaping your belly

If you want to draw attention away from your belly, a one piece or high waisted bikini bottom is perfect.

Small legs

If you have small legs, a one-piece or bikini bottoms with a slit will give the illusion of length. If you're feeling ballsy, a thong will do this even more so.

Fuller thighs

If you want to draw attention away from your thighs, choose bottoms with more coverage. Something in a boxer-brief style is perfect.

Bear in mind ladies, I know for a fact I'm a complete mixture of some of these options, so it's important to mix and match and find what works for you. For example, I've got a small torso, small boobs, small legs and would like to shape my belly. So for me, a one piece with a high slit with embellishments on the chest would be the best option.

It doesn't matter what dress size or shape you are, as long as you wear anything with confidence you'll look amazing.
