So we've had a look at how to be a good bro aka The Bro Code. Now it's time the girls get a code to live by: The Gurl Code.
1) Thou Shalt Not Give Back-Handed Compliments
This is sneaky bitchy way to act. Give your gurl genuine compliments. If they're friends with you they deserve a genuine compliment. If they don't look their best, help them improve their appearance. Be honest with your gurl. They'll thank you for it.
2) Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Gurl's Goods
You can't help if you get jealous of your best gurl's new dress or shoes. But if you're true best gurlies then you can share your stuff and trust each other to look after your things.
3) Thou Shalt Not Covet Thy Gurl's Boy
No matter how hot they are, they are off limits. If they are hotties, congratulate them on their beau. If they're dickheads, try to find a way of showing them without confronting them, there's always a chance that a bro could in between you and your gurl.
4) Thou Shalt Not Sleep With Thy Gurl's Ex
Exes are off-limits to friends....
5) Thou Shalt Not 'Borrow' Thy Gurl's Things And 'Forget' To Return Them
That's stealing, real friends don't steal from each other. Borrow, look after and return. Be good to your gurl.
6) Thou Shalt Always Have Thy Gurl's Back
If they're falling around drunk, bring them home and tuck them in. Hold their hair back if they need to get sick, stop them from drunk texting their ex, keep them from starting fights and help them cut down on their Facebook stalking.
7) Thou Shalt Always Put Sisters Before Misters
Boyfriends are great and all, but you need your gurls. Boyfriends can come and go but your gurls are for life. Treat them well. You don't need a man, you just need your gurls.
