Friends can be the ones who really help us when we are in a bad place, the can give us a lift when we need it, play wing man when things aren't going to well. However, there are those friends that we are just better off without, then constant ridiculing of us and our mates by one or two people in particular...we don't need them people. Here's how you know you need to lose that friend...
1. They get bitchy when someone succeeds
The lack of support they show for you or anyone of your group of friends when you have success is always noted and tends to only bring out snide remarks from them and hints at the fact that not only are they a bad friend but more than likely extremely jealous too...so play on this...make them as jealous as you possibly can.
2. They never want to try new things.
They're quite happy where they are and are stuck in a rut, and you know what, that's fine if that's how they want to live but they're insistence of slagging everyone who want's to make something of themselves is unwelcome and you'll soon have enough of their nagging. It's a mindset that is slowly disappearing but still exists to an extent.
3. They don’t show up for important things
They know that one particular date is of great importance to you and the rest of your mates are there without question...there's always one who can't make it and in doing so provides a typically lame excuse..."oh sorry, I was doing my hair!...
4. They have to be intoxicated to hang out.
You know the friends...midweek you don't see them from one end of the week til the other. All they're interested in doing is getting drunk with you and saying a load of stuff to you that they won't even remember the next day.
5. They don’t listen
They have no interest in anything about you other than having someone to hang out of. Unlike your close friends they won't have the first clue about anything about you.
6. They don’t have ambition for the future.
As we've already stated they have a tendency to talk down to people with ambition. It's generally to hide the fact that they are completely unsatisfied with their own lives and where they've ended up.
7. You don’t want to end up like them
Based on all the above why would you want to be. You better off without these people and the sooner you recognise it the better....the more time you spend around them the more your open to catching some of their quirks. Not cool.
