Studies Show Creative People More Likely To Be Psychopaths

Recent Studies from De La Salle University in Manila have found that being creative means that the chances of you being a psychopath are higher.

The study discovered that those with better artistic ability and higher levels of creativity showed more signs of psychopathic behaviour. Psychopathic behaviour can be broken down into traits such as such as narcissism, disinhibition, boldness, scheming, narcissism, and lack of empathy.

The experiment dealt with 503 random participants. Each were asked a series of questions designed to identify the dark areas of their personality. Creatives aren't the worst psychoaths though- they are generally social and basically psychopathic without the more terrible and harmful traits. Creatives are more likely to take risks and be 'bold' in their behaviour.

In contrast to antisocial psychopaths, the study found creatives were more likely to be ‘prosocial’ – psychopathic without the harmful, mean traits. The study also found creative people were more likely to show bold behaviour, like taking risks in order to succeed, which answers for your mate’s crazy performance art pieces.

The author of the study claimed that psychopathic boldness is crucial in creative personalities and the creative process, and that it is actually necessary when working in the creative world. What do you think, can you think of anyone creative you know who's a bit... you know...
