If you're anything like me, you're probably thinking of ways to make money that isn't illegal and trust me, friends, it's difficult.
Just when we'd given up hope, new information has surfaced that could change everything. It turns out you're lending €260 a year and, mind you, that's without interest.
Research by the Circle, the mobile app, found that over a fifth of us give away cash every month and never get it back, mainly because we don't have the courage to ask for it. People are losing out on €260 every year by lending money to friends and family.
One of the founders of Circle, Jack Colier, explained to BreakingNews.ie why we're less likely to ask for the cash back:
I think it's just the awkwardness of having to go up and ask for money back from somebody who you may not have agreed to be paid back.The example of getting a cup of coffee, you know saying 'I'll get this one, and you can get the next one' but that moment never arises.Having to then ask for the money back off your friends can be a daunting task to do.
Also, the creators of the app discovered that the celebrity you're less likely to give a lend to is U2 frontman Bono. Ah, we're sure he'll carry on with or without you.
