For years women were represented on screen as being very one dimensional, mannerly, ladylike and I'd even go as far as to say, boring. Then along came Sex and the City and with it, the knowledge that women are far more than aspiring housewives with no sex drive. While SATC was fantastic on so many levels, it was also not all that relatable in terms of lifestyle. Sure, Carrie got dumped too, but she wrote one little column and could live a life of cocktails and shoes. So while we were all sad to say goodbye to the SATC girls, we were ecstatic to welcome a new bunch of misfits, in the form of HBO's Girls. Four friends, just out of college, broke, depressed and in bad relationships, we can all relate to them on some level. Here are the life lessons that Girls has taught us.
