Student Arrested After Eating Free KFC For A Year In South Africa

A 27-year old student has been arrested after eating free KFC for a year.  The South African told employees he was a KFC employee in the area of quality assurance.

The man allegedly would arrive to different KFC outlets in a limo, driven by a friend who worked as a limo driver. He then flashed an ID card saying 'head office', and told employees he was there to check food standards. He was then given samples of whatever he wanted.

A member of staff from one of the KFC branches targeted told Xpouzar:

When he arrived we would all try to act our best so that we didn’t piss off the man from head office. ‘He was so convincing because he was so confident, and even colleagues from other branches of KFC know him. ‘When he came in, he rushed to the kitchen and checked everything, taking notes and then asked for samples of whatever he wanted.

The man may have been arrested, but Twitter users are hailing him as a hero

Fried chicken every day beats the usual stable student diet of beans on toast, cereal and dry pasta washed down with a beer. We're impressed he kept it up for a whole year without getting caught.
