We were reminded of the epic Al Pachino speech in the American football hit 'Any Given Sunday' when Nicholas Selby took to the stage earlier this week and told the incoming freshmen of Georgia Tech ‘Our mission as students is NOT to follow in the footsteps of the astronauts, Nobel Prize Laureates, and president who graduated before us, but to EXCEED their footsteps,’ bellowed the mechanical engineering student. ‘CRUSH the shoulders of the giants upon whom we stand!'
A standing ovation followed, deservedly so.
