A DCU student was arrested on Wednesday after Gardai found almost €4000 worth of drugs at his apartment on campus. According to The Irish Sun, the man who is in his twenties, was taken to Ballymun Gardai station after eight Gardai raided his student digs in Hampstead, DCU.
It is believed that the student is known for being a drug dealer and has been under Gardai surveillance for some time.
A Garda spokesman told the publication: “The male was released on bail and the investigation is ongoing. The street value of the drugs seized was around €3,980.” A DCU spokeswoman also spoke to The Sun: “DCU doesn’t have a comment to make on the specifics.
